What a match-up this would be...

Smith would murder Bailey, just like every other ELITE wide receiver Champ faced has.

I can't think of a top 5 or 6 WR that Champ's faced he shut down. T.O. killed him, Chad Johnson abused him....

You look at Moss' numbers and you think "heh, not bad, not great" but Moss has been injured since week 4 and his production isn't great all year. They barely threw him the ball, either, which is pretty moronic.

2 games, 11 catches, 160+ yards, 1 TD..... just so-so for Moss, or even poor for Moss... but his numbers suck all year.

Nothing on Champ (i've given way too much credit to Denver lately, heh) but elite WR > elite CB, period.

I still think Champ's a great corner but you are right.

There is no corner that can shut down an incredible receiver. Defensive Coordinators used to have nightmares before playing the Niners when Jerry was in his prime. No one could stop him, no matter what they did.

The answer has to go to the WR everytime because in all reality, if a good ball is thrown and the reciever runs a good route.. talking good, not even great yet, just good, then the pass should be undefendable for the CB unless the CB makes some type of penalty. Ofcourse with all the action going on in front of the QB, it makes him hard to throw just that right ball, but when it does happen, it cannot be covered unless a CB can fly or they commit a penatly.. its that simple.

T.O. didn't even touch Champ, T.O. had one good play, and that was the 91 yard touchdown, I think T.O. might have had like... 1 other catch besides that, Champ assraped T.O.

With Moss, I only saw Bailey on Moss like twice this whole season, Darrent Williams and Domonique Foxworth were double teaming him most of the time. Bailey was on Porter.

Chad Johnson, bleh, that was last year.

Champ kept Plaxico under wraps, and he did a good job against Satana Moss too.

****, you can say what you want, but Champ has made more plays this year for this team than any other corner did this season for any team. The Charger pick returned for a TD turned our whole season around. The Dallas pick for touchdown changed all momentum. The New England pick last week won us the game. I don't care how many plays he gives up, he makes up for it, and that's why he's the best corner in the league.

Say what you want, yeah, Champ would probably get burn't by Steve Smith a few times, but I guarentee you that Champ would make a huge play to help us also.

Bailey is SO good but I would like to see Steve Smith 1 on 1 with any CB in this league.
