Ed Barkowitz, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports free agent WR Freddie Mitchell (Chiefs) might be targeted by the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul. Team president Ron Jaworski said he is trying to reach out to Mitchell to gauge any potential interest in joining the team. The Soul would have to maneuver their salary cap as they are already at their limit and Mitchell would have to play defense as well.

Mitchell cant tackle worth ****. How do they expect him to play defense?
Of course, he barely played when he was in Philly so he has plenty of miles left.

Some AFL players just play on offense or just on defense... I'd like to see Mitchell in the AFL. I think he would do well. It would be fun to watch him there.

how many people that play defense in the arena league can actually tackle worth a **** anyway? It's all about speed and hands, and in the AFL Freddie's might actually look half decent

Oh, alright. Well he's fast and can catch so he could do fine as a defensive back.

Most of the time it seemed like he was playing defense on offense, so he should do well.
