Some people have assumed that if the CBA doesn't get extended by Sunday night's deadline, the NFLPA won't ever agree to extend the deal, and 2007 would for sure be uncapped. But Jim Quinn, an attorney for the NFLPA, said that's not necessarily the case. He told the New York Daily News, "I'm not jumping off a building here. It just means we didn't get it done in time for the league year. It doesn't mean it won't get done for next year."

I think everyone following closely already know that. I think alot of fans and owners are over-reacting about the whole mess. I think the owners are scrambling so much about this because so many teams are going to have to make big cuts just in order to get under the cap and have the abitlity to sign FAs and rightfully so. They need to get this done more so than teams like Minn, Clev, Phi, Ari, etc.. I don't think those teams are worried cause their so under the cap it won't matter for them right now. In fact, I could make the arugment the would prefer not to get a CBA extension done now and have the pickings of the best FAs; of course they'd have to be willing to dish out the money.
