NFL | Agreement in principal reached; owners have to agree now
Mon, 6 Mar 2006 07:08:26 -0800
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports an agreement in principal has been reached in the NFL's labor talks, but now that agreement has to be agreed to by the NFL owners. The biggest hurdle to the agreement will be revenue sharing. As noted previously, the agreement will be presented at an owner's meeting in Dallas Tuesday, March 7.

I should probably be happy about this.
Should be.
But now the owners have to get together...

Exactly, that's probably the bigger issue anyway.

Hopefully, it gets done.

Im concerned about the revnue sharing for small market teams in the future. No point having a cap if half the teams cant spend it. But hopefuly they can work on that some more in the future. We need to get this CBA done

if i'm not mistaken, the cap level is concordant with shared revenue. the cap is never above anyone's spending limitations.

thats what i thought, but ive been reading a load of articles recently saying that with the new CBA that this is not the case because of the revnue sharing not being increased. I could be wrong, soo many article banging around regarding this kind of stuff it does get confusing.

what do you mean "increased"? the only difference between old revenue sharing and the proposed revenue sharing is the sharing of revenue from memorabilia and the like, that a team raises on its own.
