That's right @#$%&!!!
Don't look now. Oh wait. Can it be? That's right all of you naysayers, the Seahawks are now in the Super Bowl. Yes, you heard it here first!!! You heard it here about week 8 in fact! You didn't believe it though. You thought I was just talking smack. Well, now you can all eat your cynical words and contemplate the embarassing losses your teams all suffered at our hands!! Whether or not we end up beating Pitt, you can now respect Seattle as the best team in the NFC. "Getting fat on a weak division" doesn't help you own every team you face in the playoffs. We are here because we are THE BEST. This is the classic case of he who laughs last. And the only reason you can't hear me laughing from your homes is because I live clear on the other side of the country!!!

You did call it. I thought the Panthers would have but up a better fight even with out Foster. But you guys made so all they could do was try and throw the ball. I want be upset as long as you win the SB I could not stand having the Steelers with five rings.

Umm.. I'm guessing you're in Seattle, in which case I live only about two hours north of you.. And I can't hear you laughing either. Seriously though. Congrats to the 'Hawks, and my friends and family who are all Hawk fans. It really shows that persistence pays, if you keep making the playoffs year after year, eventually you'll learn how to not lose in the first round..
P.S.-Superbowl or not, remember that Seattle still hasn't beat Green Bay since 1984..

I love how all of you, fans of NFC teams that got whooped the first round, if they made the playoffs at all, keep thinking you got something to say about the Seahawks. Let me help set you straight. You guys lost to the Redskins, the R-E-D-S-K-I-N-S. If I were you, I'd be losing that team helmet until next season starts and the embarrassment wears off. At the very least, you have nothing to say to me, no matter if we win in Detroit or not.

Your entire argument Dagre is just based upon bashing other people's team. Whether I am a Giants fan, Patriots fan, or Texans fan, it makes no difference. We are not talking about those teams. We are talking about your team, the Seahawks. Buck It brings up a legitimate point with the comparison to the 2004 Eagles, and your only argument is to say the Bucs got destroyed. That has nothing to do with the Seahawks, nor the comparison he made.

i have to agree with Dagre and give some credit to the Seahawks. they went 13-3 in the regular season and were the top team in the NFC. and don't even say it was because of luck, because no team gets lucky 13 times. and when Alaxader got knocked out of the game Matt stepped up and showed that he can lead a team to victory. they were also the only team that could stop Steve Smith. Not even the Bears could shut him down. so props to their defense. now even if they lose to Pittsburgh, which i think they will, they are still the best team in the NFC. and losing in the Super Bowl is a lot better than finishing in last place.

You are missing my point altogether. I said that you would rather have your team finish second than last, but ultimately in sports you can either win or lose. There is nothing in between those two options. If the Steelers win the Super Bowl, then every other team has lost. Now, just because you lose does not mean you failed, because it depends on what your goals were at the beginning of the season, but losing and failure are two completely different things in my opinion.

it's not true, even if you lose in the super bowl it getting there looks better to potential free agents than if you finished in last place. not many top players will come to a last place team, but they will gladly come to a super bowl team.

I dont know who do you see as a better team after the 92-93 seasons the bills after going to 4 straight SB and being unable to win one and three of the games were not even close, or the 49ers that had lost to DAllas in the NFC championship game two years in a row. I think people look view teams harder if they loose the SB instead of the CC game. By the way Dallas held Smith to just one catch.
