I've not been active in card collecting for like 15 years but I've had 2 mint/near mint Jerry Rice rookie cards since 1986. I keep them in protective cardholders. I'm kind of curious what their value will reach once Rice gets inducted into the Hall of Fame. I haven't checked Beckett in years.
I'm not the sort to sell off my cards. I reckon since I have two, I could sell one off when value gets maximized. I could save them for my kids but those little turds would probably sell them anyways.
I don't know. Just rambling I guess. I just decided to pull 'em out the drawer and admire them for a minute.

Dont sell them man, cards dont have worth outside of youre family anymore. You can take youre cards to a card shop to sell them they just have everything you have times 10. Card collecting is just a hobby and should stay that way, at least wait untill you have a son to give them too. By then that Jerry Rice Rookie will be worth $1000-$2000.

No need for that materialistic ****.. all you want is the Jerry Rice memories, when the cards peak in value sell them and be happy you just got something for nothing, cuz thats exactly what it is, nothing.
This is ofcourse unless you collect these things as a hobby, which you said you dont do.
