i'm not exactly sure what the deal was with Steve Hutchinson but i'm pretty sure it was if he resigned with the seahawks the 49 million was garanteed if he played more then 3 games at the seahawks home field. I don't care what the deal was i just wanna know why more teams don;t put thse type of clauses in the contracts. Is it just becuase its unethical? It seems like a great idea but it just seems liek there something illegal about it

The deal was that if at any time Hutch was not the highest paid lineman on the team during the life of his contract, the entire contract became guaranteed. Walter Jones is our highest paid lineman and even restructured his contract so that Hutch would be the highest, but Walt would've still been the highest paid for one week. Minnesota's actions were considered unethical but oh well. Business ethics is an oxymoron anyways.
