I usually toss the ball around and am quarterback for my flag football team but am having a problem.

When I toss a football I can usually throw it a good bit and then my elbow just starts stinging. Now, it usually takes a day and it's back to normal, but am I throwing the football wrong or is it tendinitis setting in or what the **** is going on?

Thanks for any help

Probably throwing the ball wrong or at a weird angle. Throw less with your elbow and more with your shoulder I'd say.

to what Tre said.

Baseball players have similar problems to what your saying but thats more to do with the high amount of throwing.

Ice it if it hurts.

Experiment with a throwing motion that works for you. One of the reasons why teams don't **** with quarterback's throwing motions like with Rivers or Vince Young is because that could lead to elbow problems because their not comfortable.

Same thing with pitchers in baseball.

That's what I figured. I thought at one point it could have been the grip and that my hand was too outstretched forcing a little pressure in the hand that moved down. I asked my friends to watch and they really don't know what to look for.

Thanks for the help, though

but Tre was on to something as well. Throwing a football has just as much to do with leg strength as arm strength. Practice striding into your throws off your font leg. Bend a little at the waste and when you release the ball spring up almost as if your doing squats. Basically learn to use your legs, hips and shoulders more and it will releave tension on your elbow while adding a little more zip.
