Chemistry class today was a slackoff day, and me and 5 other dudes started goin at it. Whose defense is tougher for Peyton Manning to beat. 3 said Bears, 3 said Ravens. The following arguments were made:

- The Bears have more stars on D
- The Ravens offense is worse so it relies more on it's defense, therefore it is better.
- The Bears have more spirit/adrenaline
- THe Bears are in the superbowl, therefore they are better
- The Bears are injured, therefore the Ravens is tougher

That's about all I remember.

Depends...does the Bears defense have Mike Brown and Tommie Harris. If so it's awful close....well this year anyways.

It's a pointless and useless argument. If you are Peyton Manning do you want to face EITHER defense in the Super Bowl?

Ravens D has tons more stars, dunno who would claim that the Bears D has more stars.

I'm biased, but I don't see how it could be anything but the Ravens.

These are 2 completely different styles of defense, and the matchups and personnel issues are different with both teams.

To answer the question, with Tommie Harris and Mike Brown I'd say the Bears, but they're not here and won't be, so I have to pick the Ravens.

blasphamy, Harris was playing like the DPOY, no, the MVP, earlier in the season, but then he started cooling down and your defense did too towards the middle of the season. Our defense played lights out from the beggining of the year to the end, including the playoff game.

heres most impressive part imo... Ravens defense vs. leagues best offenses this year.

Chargers #1 scoring offense vs. Ravens= 13 pts.
NO #1 ranked offense vs. Ravens= 22 pts. (I think score was 35-7 going in 4th quarter, we went into prevent defense)
Indi vs. Ravens= 15 pts.


Its truley a spectacular feat that a defense this good hasn't been in the SB for the past 5 years.
