Just wondering who you guys think is the better wr. Me personally I think randy moss is better don't know if its from a personal bias being a randy moss fan.But i feel moss is a better at catching and is faster. Like to also while moss runs away from defenders TO go through them and breaks tackles. But overall i think the total package of how good moss can be is being diplayed with the pats. I think if moss can improve is route running he could be one of the greatest ever.
Ill go with Owens as he could probobly be successfull with a lesser QB, where as Moss would struggle. Moss cant thrive unless someone can get him the ball downfield. But if he has that, he is the most dangerous WR in the game hands down. Really, I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a WR. Funny thing is the are both the perfect compliments to each other.
When you ask a question like that its hard , what a better will be what each bring to the table for the team.
Last game randy moss lined up as a DB during the hail-mary pass situation in the endzone not sure TO would do that .
During training camp it was reported brandon meariweather the first round safety/db was being instruted by randy moss on playing WR`s and technique on defending them .again something i wonder if TO would do.
When he was out in the preseason chad jackson the #2 rd WR pick 2006 who was on PUP did say that randy works with him on playbook and defensive reads which helps him a bunch.
randy moss was a big time down field threat is all i knew of him but here is the most crazy stat is he is second player in the game as far as snaps go after tom brady. He lines up alot on the slot in bunch formation .
Owens drops too many balls too.do not forget that he actuallly led the league in drops last year.
I'd take Moss. I don't think Owens causes a defense to change so much just to try and stop one guy. Moss gets doubled more than Owens and seems to have a bigger impact without even catching the balls. Like Satz said, Owens drops the ball too much as well.
Both great physically gifted atheletes, and Moss has used it more this year. He has been playing Great football, and Moss has really been a pain for opposing D's. Moss IMO, but it's close. Two great receivers, but Moss' sure hands, and ability to get deep, and run after the catch puts him over the top.
moss is the most physically gifted WR to ever play the game hands down and its been like that for years. TO is a very big, fast man. Moss better hands, TO is much stronger. both are fast, both are tall, i would prefer TO as far as running underneath patterns and hes nasty after the catch, and is willing to block. Moss wont block and goes down very easy.
Both guys are worthless when they arent on a good team imo, they have to be winning to be happy and are both very selfish players despite the popular belief that moss just lovvvves the game now and hes there to win and TO is only concerned with going to hawaii.
