Peterson is overrated!!
Adrien Peterson is vastly overrated. Besides, LaDainian Tomlinson is much better, and always will be. Peace out.

Peterson has played one year, and already broken the single game rushing record, and he did it against one of the best rush defenses in the league, so I say.... Come on, big guy.

I know a few on this forum that thought AP would have 10,000 yds after his first 2 seasons.

OK, overrated is not the best word, because he is a world class player, and will become ONE ofthe best HB ever. Overhyped is a better word. The reason I said this is because I have heard some people tell me that he is the best player in the NFL at the moment and that he will become the greatest player in the NFL ever! Maybe even in all sports! Man that is extreme. He has only played one season! He could have a career ending injury, or never play as well in his entire career. I just hate it when people predict how good someone will be. Remember Kevin Maas? A rookie with the Yankees in 1990, He hit 10 homers in his first 77 at bats. He could have broken Maris' record in his rookie season, but he went bad, and never played well again, and was soon out of baseball. I don't want to be harsh on the guy, but it is for his own good if he is left alone for a few years to do his thing, and then in a few years, when his feet are on the ground, and he had experience of more than one year, then maybe I will start considering him. Just not yet.

AD is a better prospect than was Maas. He wasn't expected to do so good so fast, Petersen was consistent and you could see his moves are what gets him TDs and yards, past the 4-5 yards you get from a talented back with not moves like he has. I understand your point and agree mostly. He only has played one season and needs to continue to play at that level. Part time player (essentially for most of the season, even to fantasy owners lament) breaks the all time rushing single game record and scores 2 TD's in the pro bowl and is MVP is AWESOME. but not the best in the league yet
