Randy Moss Will Be A FA Feb. 29
The New England Patriots did not place their franchise tag on wide receiver Randy Moss on Thursday, technically leaving Moss open to free agency on Feb. 29.
The Patriots are apparently gambling that they could come to terms with Moss on a new contract so he can remain with the team.
Moss restructured his contract, dropping his base salary from $10 million to $3 million, to accommodate last April's trade from the Oakland Raiders to the Patriots. Moss earned an additional $2 million on incentives after breaking Jerry Rice's single-season record with 23 touchdown receptions.

as long as you have an established passer and a chance to win he would go there, I still think he ends up back on the pats

He more the likely will IMO, but the money elsewhere could be tempting.

And then we learn who Randy Moss really is. The New Patriot, or the same old money hungry player.

Dont we already know who he is? It really depends on the money they give him. I really do have concerns about him, especially if they have just an average season next year.

I do too. But I think he's still worth the risk. Look what he did for us this year. I mean, he's still got "it".

He does have "it" but my concern is just for how long. This is a guy that has shown everyone in his past that when he's winning he is fine. Now put him on an 8-8 and that's when the "I play when I want" crap comes out. That very well could happen, and IMO is more likely to after he gets paid.
