Asante Samuel wants 10 years, $100 million?
Quote:
Free agent Asante Samuel is rumored to be in search of a ten-year, $100 million contract, including $30 million up front.
Apparently he doesn't just want more than Nate Clements (seven years, $64 million), he wants much more. The way Samuel and his agent are speaking, it sounds like he doesn't have a preference of where to sign. Some GMs are pegging him as a system DB, but Samuel will likely go to the highest bidder. I doubt he's going to receive such a deal. He's probably looking out and trying to see if anyone will try to come in range of that offer for him.

Definately but there is no doubt he's just looking to see if any team will pony up and throw a lot of money at him. One team might, two if he's lucky, there is always one sucker in the league come Free Agency.

Won't get anything close to that. He'll get 10 years 60 million at most.
