Default Pats Release Colvin

It was a big coup when the Patriots signed Rosevelt Colvin, but that era has come to a close.

New England released the linebacker on Tuesday. Drafted by the Bears out of Purdue in 1999, Colvin spent his first four seasons in Chicago and established himself as a pass-rushing threat from his outside linebacker position. He registered 10½ sacks in both 2001 and 2000.

Colvin is a good player when he is healthy, but he is just hurt way to much and like Footbalmaster said he is getting paid too much to sit on IR

No, because they already let him go, by not picking up the option on his contract.

I really liked this guy. He was a beast.. when he played. He's just not worth such a high salary with no guarantee on if he will even play 10 games.
