Michael Turner Sweepstakes/ Atlanta Wins
Quote:
The Bears, Lions, and Saints are "believed to have the strongest interest" in free agent Michael Turner, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Chicago isn't in great shape under the cap, but he'd probably like to play in his hometown. The Union-Trib suggests that Turner won't sign during the first wave of free agency with teams hesitant due to an RB-rich draft class.

Saints? why would the Saints go after another RB with Duece and Bush still on the roster? does that mean Deuces time in the big easy is almost over?

The guy is coming off another major injury, but I think it's just more smoke, I still say Carolina now that Foster is gone.

I don't see anyway he goes somewhere he would have to be a back-up again, and the Saints seem to be ready to give Bush more work. I really think he will end up in Carolina or Detroit.

Maybe the Cowboys would fool everyone and trade MB3 and then sign Turner and then draft a bunch of guys, lol

That would be a crazy move, fool everyone and get rid of one overrated RB and bring in another.

I used to think that about Turner, but I have seen enough from him against strong opponents to know that he is a player with star potential.

He and Barber to me are the same thing, guys who play behind ridiculous run blocking O-lines, with a solid team around them, and put up good numbers. I want to see them do what they do without those animals up front clearing them massive holes. At least Barber runs around in the backfield enough that he gets to break some tackles, Turner doesn't usually get hit until he is 4-5 yards downfield.

Yeah I didn't even consider the Falcons, because honestly.... why do that to yourself if you are Mike Turner? It would be the equivilant of signing up for a anal probe... only more painful.
