Oakland continued the spending frenzy it started before free agency.
The Raiders reached an agreement with former New York Giants free-agent safety Gibril Wilson on a six-year contract worth $39 million, including $16 million guaranteed. The Giants had a rough Friday. They lost Wilson, and linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Reggie Torbor.

Well, the Raiders are certainly trying to shore up the defense. Now what about the O?
You have to start somewhere and the D for them needed some help. I'm all about creating an edge and they have a nice bit of young talent now on that D.
They were reprting that they were trying to trade him so who knows. Oakland says he isnt physical enough to play SS and doesnt have the cover skills to play FS. Maybe a team like Tampa should take a shot on him and let him read and raect.
gibril wilson? Is this guy a gamer did not hear to much about him during the giants run. I dont think huff is on the way out he had a good second season. but we do need a fs shweighert is on his way out. we had some guy from the practice squad starting there in the second half of the season.
i like Gibril Wilson, SD was talking about gettin him last year before they drafted Weddle. hes solid but hes gettin paid like hes top 3 and he isnt. Al Davis is giving away money like theres no tommorrow.
