A look at the 2013 HOF

For several NFL stars who recently announced their retirement, the answer is easy. They expect to be in Canton as first-ballot Hall of Famers in 2013. The problem is there may not be room for all of them right away.

Favre, Ogden, Seau, Allen, Strahan, Sapp, McNair, i mean really who gets left out?

Damn, that's an amazing group.. The only person there that will not make it first ballot and not make it at all is Mcnair.

I might be wrong on this but they can only get five of those guys in at one time. The sixth spot is for the old timers.

Locks are Favre Odgen and Seau (if he retires), the others should be but it's looking as though they'll have to be in 2014 instead.

idk..i think McNair could get in someday. Granted he doesn't have the greatest stats, but he was one of the toughest players of his generation, imo. Seemed like he was hurt every week, but still managed to play good. And even tho he never won a super bowl the Titans and the Ravens(for the few years he was there) were for the most part contending teams and as the quarterback McNair deserves a big part of that credit.

Odgen and McNair are the ones that I think might have to wait. They were good players I never thought of them as the best at their positions.

Well see, that's the thing. He doesn't have great stats and he doesn't have a superbowl ring. Were as to make the hall you need to have great stats, or multiple SB rings, or a combination of both.

I don't know... Looking again on that list, I think Seau will give it one more try to get that ring, so looking over it.. it looks to me like it's going to be Favre, Strahan, Odgen and Allen.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ogden & Allen not be first ballot hall of famers. Not because they dont deserve it, more that the hall unfortunately favors running backs, wide receivers and quaterbacks over linemen

Of course their going to be. They were the most dominant at there positions for there era. Besides, with your theory, there's no RBs, WRs that have a chance to even make it close.

IMO Ogden is without a doubt a first ballot, but Allen may have to wait.
