One problem is that the NFL hasn't really looked to export the game like the NBA did, and football takes a lot more to start up than other sports. It just costs that much more to outfit and train a football team than other sports teams.

From Sweden, eh? A running back, perhaps?

I was under tha impression that Europe loves the NFL.
Didn't those overseas game(s) sell out in a heart beat last year or 2?

I would imagine the reason why the games overseas sold out so quickly is the rarity of such a game. Overseas games are not very common to begin with, so people grab the tickets to see why America loves such a game.

Plus, nothing will compare to the passion and love for soccer (football over there, I suppose) in Europe. I was in Germany a while back during the World Cup, and I've never seen anything like it.

Lol well of course europeans would be delited to watch NFL live if they went to europe! Like when NHL leageue started last week in Sweden Ottawa vs Pittsburgh it was the biggest news event in Sweden. But the thing is Soccer vs American football has no competition and viceversa in States. So what can we do?

Well, the more who play football, the better the competition gets. Maybe the next evolution in football with be Euro-style offense, a super-charged version of the West-Coast offense?

i doubt it, steve young already supercharged it to teh max. not to mention a west coast with young/rice/montana in it. there's never gonna be another type of WCO. europe can only dream.

It's not about the players, but about innovation. Whether it's bringing back the wishbone or developing an offense built around short passes, the more (and more varied) people who are involved, the more possibility of new and exciting developments.
