Raiders Reloaded, Im Excited!
Well Raider fans Looks like we got something to be excited about next season. A totally revamped coaching staff. Lane Kiffin Headcoach, Greg Knapp Offensive Coordinator, Brian Schneider Special Teams, Keith Millard defensive Line Coach,Tom Cable Offensive Line Coach,John Defilipo Quarterbacks Coach,Tom Rathman Running backs Coach. Not To Mention The Free Agents we have added for next season: Jeremy Newberry C , Dominic Rhodes RB, Justin Griffith FB,Fred Wakefield TE, Tony Stewart ( not the race car driver) TE.
Personally I like the Rhodes signing I think he is a solid back to give us that 1-2 punch we sorely need and the addition of J. Griffith as lead blocker helps us immensely, He was the lead blocker for the Nfl's leading rush team the last 2 seasons and from what Ive heard and seen he can run the ball as well as catch. Jeremy Newberry
a 2 time Pro bowl Center will add a much needed boost to a underachieving O-line. Fred Wakefield was used as blocker for the most part with Arizona, And Tony Stewart had minimal stats with the bengals hopefully one of these guys can compete for a job that is up for grabs once the season starts.

I'm kind of excited too primetime, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. Remember, we were excited when we got Moss, and look how this little story ended. Still, lets remain optimistic!!!

I am going to need to see more upgrades along the O-Line before I become a believer. That is and has been the source of their problems, and all the offensive weapons in the world won't fix that. I would even say they should take Thomas #1 and try for Smith in the 2nd round. I'm not Al Davis though, and no one can ever tell what he intends to do.

I think that the addition of coach Cable will make this o-line better. I think that the scheme he will bring to the table will be much better than the outdated 5-7 step drop scheme that we used last season.
