Default Raiders End Off-Season Practice With New Look

ALAMEDA, Calif. (Map, News) - The Oakland Raiders ended their offseason workouts with a very different look than the group new coach Lane Kiffin had at his first practice in March.

JaMarcus Russell and Josh McCown have become the top quarterbacks, Randy Moss has been shipped out and the offensive line has undergone constant tinkering.

The team's voluntary minicamp ended Wednesday and the next time the players take the field for practice will be when training camp opens in Napa on July 27.

"I think we learned they're willing to compete and they're willing to practice the way we want to practice," Kiffin said. "They're willing to put in the time and effort the things we need them to do. We think we came out of this thing with great results as far as the way they have accepted the things that we need them to do."

Their is potenial their. They have the players with talent, but they havent played to it. Putting Gallary back at RT is probobly the best thing they could do, altho it cements the fact that he wasnt worth his draft position. McQ has the talent to be a good LT, if he be a servisable LT this year, they will be in better shape. Their line has alot of ??????'s, but I think the possibiltys do exist.

isn't McQ the LG, not LT and Sims is at the LT spot. To me it comes down to the interior of that line they have some unproven talent there and I don't know if a guy like Booth can handle defenses like Denver and San Diego twice a year among others..

Thats how they are listed right now, but Simms is a natural G and McQuistan is a natural T. I think McQ was the RT at the begining of the season last year.

I just don't like sims at all and think that he is a liability wherever he is and only makes the interior of the line weaker, if they move him there. I think McQ can be real good and I like their center too, the guy from Virginia Tech.

I think Jamarcus Russell won't start. They'll have a terrible season under Andrew Walters then start Russell
