The Raiders reduced their training camp roster to 90 on Wednesday by releasing safeties Jarrod Cooper and Darnell Bing.
The Cooper move came five days after he was suspended by the NFL for the first four regular-season games for violating the league's policy on anabolic steroids and related substances.
He spent part or all of the past three seasons with the Raiders as a core special teams player and backup defender. He was scheduled to earn $1.15 million in base salary this season.
Bing was Oakland's fourth-round selection in the 2006 NFL draft. The Raiders converted him from safety to outside linebacker upon his arrival. However, Bing sustained a neck injury early on and missed his rookie season.
