Eh not suprising, Coop, even though a good player was roiding, and Bing couldnt find a home at LB or S, sucks how we always end up wasting draft picks

Raiders drafted another safety this year too...cant think of his name, maybe that has something to do with it, although I think Bing was playing Will.

he was a good college safety, but too slow to play S in the NFL and i guess he wasn't a good NFL LB.

Niners picked Bing up.

Quote:
The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they have claimed and were awarded safety Darnell Bing off waivers from the Oakland Raiders.

Bing (6-2, 220) spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve after being selected in the fourth round (101st overall pick) of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. The former University of Southern California safety saw action in all five preseason games last year before suffering a neck injury during the final contest. At USC, Bing played in 37 games with 35 starts for the Trojans in his three-year career, totaling 182 tackles, eight interceptions, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.[/b]

The raiders are deep at safety.

No big deal!

Bing was a slacker at SC, and pretty much just got by on his athletic ability alone....That doesn't fly in the NFL. I'm not shocked he was cut.

Bolt

You mean that you have to show up for practice, chalk talk, team meetings, game film sessions?

Youre right though, that doesnt fly in the NFL.
