Tommy Kelly sucks?

Are you freaking kidding me?

The premier reason our run defense and defense overall took such a huge step BACKWARD last year was because Kelly was moved outside leaving us no body to play the undertackle or penetrating tackle inside.

Stuffing the run in a 4-3 alignment means you need one DT to absorb 2blockers at the point of attack so you can win 8 0n 7 matchups upfront so you dont have to play your safety man under all the time.

in 2006, Kelly played that role but because of our lack of depth on the D line, he was moved to DE.

I dodnt blame him for getting hurt.

Your comments were really football challenged observations but not much else.

that explains why paying a guy who played 7 games the most money at that position ever. OK, thanks (10)

He played 2 full seasons before this year, so IDK if its fair to throw an injury red flag up on him

I guess it would have made more sense to let a DT walk with our run stuffing needs right?

Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

Bill Bellichik says hes one of the best linemen in the NFL and he certainly has been our best thats for sure.

Letting Kelly get away would have been a huge mistake.

What happened to the concerns that Al spent all his money on one player?

Its all in how a contract is structured.

This ism just an extension of the medias backpeddalling. First, it was NO FAs would come to O town becasuse Al was cheap. Then it morphed into they will come but only if he overpays.

Now its he spent all his money on one player.

Baloney!

how can you explain the mess at RB? How do you give Fargas money and try to rework Rhodes and you have Bush, watch them take mcfadden, with at least 2 DL that could immediately help you right there. Watch.

The mess?

We were one of the best rushing attacks last year.

Youre not making any sense. How are we going to get the D linemen with our picks?

To take McFadden with this D linemen crop in the draft would be really stupid. We dont need a RB and we dont need McFadden.

I understand why Al dealt for DeAngleo Hall though because hes a 2 time Pro Bowler. The more likely scenario is that he will move Fabian Washington and trade down to get a 2nd round pick back.

Then we can go DE, DT with #1 & 2.

That would improve our team but not drafting a RB.

Please..,...

McFadden isnt even the best back in the draft.

the raiders should take Gholston, nufced.

You didn't even address the ongoing dispute between the coach and owner and how that will affect the team. Rhodes and Fargas are mediocre and Bush is a ? right now with a huge upside

The ongoing dispute, or the never ending claims in the media that there is an ongoing dispute?

There isnt any dispute between Al and Kiff.

The media float some BS story and the sheep out there suck it up.

Dont you guys realize those type of stories are written for the consumption of Raider haters?

No, they should only take Gholston if Ellis and Dorsey are gone, and if they are both gone, then Long will be there. And Long is a far better prospect then Gholston. Your going a little overboard with you Gholston love. he is a reach at the Raiders pick
