Well incase you havent noticed, its hard to detect sarcasm when you cant actually hear a persons voice. It seems to be a problem on most forums i am a member of. I think that when you are being sarcastic you should put the level of sarcasm next to it. as so (10). Then meter goes from 0-10 counting by fives.
Here is the chart

0-no sarcasm, this could come in handy when someone thinks your being sarcastic and this reassures them your not

5- somewhat sarcastic

10- this is when someone just throws out idea- here is an example, the eagles are going to win the superbowl.

Im just putiing this out there if you guys like it thats great and if you dont thats fine too

Not a half bad idea. I also find it hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic or not.

i find that most jabs and pointed comments are sarcastic, for if someone is being serious when they make a jerk comment, then they are a jerk. After that I don't pay them much mind. otherwise, if i got a comment about the thread I do, if not I don't, obviously I got a lot of comments, (4) btw by posting the (4) i was being sarcastic, LOL. tone is hard to read in a forum, but if someone says something that I don't like or I think is attacking me, I usually just feel sorry for them that they have to do that and move on, works for me.
