It’s been months in coming, but the Eagles finally made it official on Monday morning.

Andy Reid has been fired after 14 years as the team’s head coach. The team released a statement announcing Reid’s firing ahead of a press conference with owner Jeffrey Lurie that is scheduled for noon E.T. on Monday.

“Andy Reid won the most games of any head coach in Eagles history and he is someone I respect greatly and will remain friends with for many years to come,” Lurie said in the statement. “But, it is time for the Eagles to move in a new direction. Coach Reid leaves us with a winning tradition that we can build upon. And we are very excited about the future.”

Lurie said that the search for a new coach begins immediately. Reid is expected to start his own job search immediately as well. He’s made no secret about his hopes of landing another job for the 2013 season with most speculation centering on San Diego, where we’re waiting for the official word on Norv Turner’s ouster. He might not wind up landing anywhere when the music stops, but Monday’s announcement confirms that the Eagles are sure to have their first new coach since Bill Clinton was the President of the United States.

So... Who gets thrown under the bus next season?

McNabb's been done for years now... Andy's gone now... So, who do the Philly fans turn on next season?

DeSean? McCoy?

It couldn't possibly be that home games are just as hostile for the team as those on the road...

Los Angeles Eagles sounds awesome!!!
