I think you might be underestimating this guy. He has good football skill, once he gets on the field he could add depth to a good D-line, maybe even play some as a rookie.

I have actually watched a little on this guy, he seems very prductive, you can't just look at stats or combine numbers, you have to look at the guy's productivity, even if it is at a small school.

again your'e missing the point! he's not a third round pick!I'm not saying he does'nt have a chance. but we have other needs to address and they're not gettin' done.Gocong would've been around 5-7th round. If not there are plenty more DE's ahead of him.

gunner relax, there were other teams looking at this guy, He is a killer on ST and is very good at shedding blockers. He is a damn good at getting to the QB and has a great spin move as well. He can rush from a 2 point and a three point stance. He delivers hard hits and crunches people. Also, He is a smart guy and doesn't get faked out on passes or screens. He also maintains containment on the end real well, He is a perfect guy for our defense and don't underestimate ried's picks, He has always done the right thing before and never let's us down. Have faith brother.

We wait till rnd 5 to draft an LB {which you know is a weakness** no bruising RBs picked. I'm just not gonna be sold on this guy being our best third round choice my friend.every thing I've read put this guy as a 6-7th round or FA pick.I'm statisfied with OL picks and Bunkley and Gaither.Bloom I have concerns about too.

Actually Gunner you're a bit wrong there. The Jets who we traded up with to get him said that they were going to pick him right there but thought he may slip. They said they were shocked and disappointed that the Eagles had him that high on their board. Also NE who was picking a couple spots down said that they were also going to take him.
The guy has nice size at 6'2 245, and plays faster then he ran. I mean look at D'Quall Jackson from Maryland, he was 6' 230 and ran a 4.8 anmd went in the second round, it happens. Gocong has pass rush moves and if he can bulk up a bit IMO he'll be replacing Dahani in a year or two.
