I have no clue where that came from, but the U.of Houston has'nt exactly been churnin' out great QBs for the NFL now has it.

That is the dumbest idea I ever heard. You should never trade a franchise QB for a LB! That's insane. If the Eagles do something crazy like that they'll no longer have me rooting for them. Everyone is always picking on McNabb and it makes me sick. The guy wins games so what he hasn't won the big one yet, but his career is on par with Elway who didn't win until he was on his way out. The Eagles loses in the playoffs weren't due to McNabb (yes the QB always gets the blame - that's the no-brainer choice) but upon examination you'll realize that McNabb threw interceptions in key games because Reid was pass happy and the OL didn't protect him. Case in point -the Super Bowl, NE and the Eagles blitzed the whole game, but the Pats stayed in the shotgun protecting Brady who was rattled in the 1st half where as the Birds used the shotgun only 2 times. Needless to say who got sacked excessively and who didn't. It was the difference in a close game 24-21. Even the losses to Tampa Bay and Carolina demonstrated that McNabb was not protected. Carolina had consistent pressure up the middle when led to Center Hank Fraley's release. The Bucs had pressure by Simeon Rice who consistently beat Tra Thomas attacking McNabb's blind side. Reid failed to protect his QB by using a TE to double Rice, or using the shotgun by buy McNabb more time to find WRs and see the blitz coming, and running the ball more to keep the defense honest. Hopefully with Morningwig calling the plays they will have a balanced offense (by running more) and McNabb will have his best year ever. A good football expert knows McNabb is better than Garcia who was protected by a heavy reliance on Westbrook a luxury they never use fully when McNabb is playing and it isn't fair to him to be pass happy when a balanced attack would open up the passing game. Trade McNabb, hah! teams would jump at the opportunity to get a Pro Bowl player like him. Only football novices would even suggest that. Only Tom Brady and Manning are better than McNabb. If McNabb runs more in key situations to sustain drives, he will win a Super Bowl someday. I admire is determination to refrain from running for yards to learn the nuances of playing QB (making his progressions and reading the defense) when he could get the yards scrambling. Still a running QB gives the defense fits and McNabb needs to get back to that since defenses no longer spy on him.As far as the Kevin Kolb pick, I think they should've drafted a safety or a CB with the 2nd round pick. Sure they got players at those positions but those guys were leftovers and better players were available when they have a logjam at QB. Kolb is good but the Eagles don't need him if they want to win right now. The problem is the Eagles are content merely to contend every year, but this city needs a Super Bowl now while McNabb is QB. The Eagles did make moves to fill some holes so they should be able to contend for the division title again.

This aint gonna happen.......'nuff said. The Eagles LB corps is pretty much set now with Gaither at weakside, Spikes and Trotter in the middle and Gocong holdin' Bradley's spot till he's ready to take it.
