PERSONNEL ANALYSIS: Look for the team to employ much more two tight-end formations than it did a year ago. In the past, coach Andy Reid liked the two tight end set, but got away from it last season when rookie Steven Spach failed to grasp the offense or be much of a threat in it. This year, the addition of veteran Matt Schobel to go with starter L.J. Smith gives Reid two pass-catching tight ends, in the same vein that Smith and Chad Lewis were in 2004 when the team made it to the Super Bowl. Schobel, like Smith, can get down the middle of the field and put pressure on Cover 2 type defenses. . . .
Second-year S Sean Considine missed almost all of his rookie year because of a shoulder injury suffered in camp and re-injured during the season. This year the team is counting on him being a useful backup and primarily to have an impact on special teams. In college, Considine was a special teams star.
