Default Eagles agree to four-year deal with Justice

only Bunkley is left...

excerpt:

PHILADELPHIA -- Second-round draft pick Winston Justice signed a four-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, leaving only their first-round pick unsigned heading into training camp.

Justice, a 6-foot-6, 319-pound tackle, started 36 games at USC, earning All-Pac 10 honorable mention honors as a senior and sophomore. The 21-year-old Justice could possibly start on the offensive line this season

i would have put more years on that contract since he was due to be a Low first round pick if he had stayed in school

I hear ya potato, but you gotta remember with the new rookie cap and rules, the contracts have affects to other years and the EAGLES are one of the best at working within the cap.

I wanted the Bucs to take him instead of Joseph. Good signing by the Eagles.

With the NFL slotting money for each pick and there is a rookie cap and with first round picks being the only ones allowed to sign 5 year deals you would think that they should be able to get this done.

By PAUL DOMOWITCH

But the fact that just one first-round pick - Houston defensive end Mario Williams, the draft's first overall selection - has signed so far could make it a little more difficult for the Eagles and Bunkley's agent, Gary Wichard, to hammer out an agreement. Most agents prefer to have someone else set the first-round market price before they do a deal so that they don't end up shortchanging their client and damaging their reputation.

I think he will be fine, like the article said, corey simon missed the first 2 weeks of camp when we drafted him and he was a week one starter.

I think he will be fine but I always fined it funny the the team, agents and players all know how much a money that has been slotted for the spot but they are too afraid to go ahead and make the deal because they want to make sure it is close to the ones of the players selected around him. This could all be done really fast but they make it harder than it should be.
