He said Brett Favre was a better QB than McNabb, now before us football-heads begin mentally comparing #4 with #5 it doesnt matter, I wouldn't have said it, but TO would, and the eagles knew that... until they reacted this stupidly over TO I thought for sure by week 15 they'd have the nfc east locked up... now I don't think they can take it, and at this pace not even a wildcard (I doubt they'll finish second in nfc east) TO is the ****, and he's not done yet, if the eagles don't take him back hell be on a different team by the playoffs.

You make some very interesting points villageidiot, I'll address them one at a time. First, albeit a little off topic, OF COURSE Brett Favre is better than McNabb. It's an insult to Favre to make the comparison. Only QB's that compare to Favre are Elway, Marino, and in some ways Montana. That was not all T.O. said though. He also accused McNabb of "holding back" in last year's Super Bowl, said he couldn't throw a ball straight the whole game, and also said McNabb had caused more than one locker room disagreement over the past year. That's one thing to say all that, not surprising really, but in TO fashion, he had to say all of it on National TV. Many of us non-Eagle fans watched ESPN and NFL network every day before the season trying to find the latest on how all of our teams were doing, only to find the latest day's developments in the TO saga. Peyton Manning even released a statement saying what bull**** it was, that he wanted to know how his brother's Giants and other teams were coming along in practice, much less the defending champion Patriots, but the only team getting any preseason coverage at all were the Eagles. Next, as TO continued to bash McNabb and Reid on a daily basis, McNabb, the mature, adult one, listened to it for six weeks without complaining, until he finally had enough and made a press statement aimed at TO, "Keep my name out of your mouth." Concise, brief, to the point. Most players would have left it at that, but not Owens. He continued his crybaby tantrum, with Drew Rosenhaus at his side, insulting the Eagles and complaining that the millions of dollars he stood to make "would not feed his family." What the hell are they eating?? When he finally saw his tirade would not pay off, he showed to practice anyway, but caused problems within the team throughout the course of the season, until Reid finally suspended him and put him where he is now: without a team to play on, without a paycheck, and possibly without a career.
Owens is an excellent reciever. He's not Jerry Rice any more than McNabb is Favre, but he's still one of the best playing today, if not the very best. His attitude, however, is immature, childish, and not conducive to teamwork. I find this inexcusable no matter how good of a player he is, and I respect Andy Reid for doing what needed to be done to preserve the team as a whole, even at the cost of a playoff spot. TO may never play again, vanishing into obscurity a la Ryan Leaf. Even teams that really need a reciever don't want the problems, and there is an ever-growing list of NFL players that have declared they WILL NOT SUIT UP to play alongside T.O., including Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Tedy Bruschi, Donald Driver, Aaron Brooks, and MANY more. I look forward to seeing Owens bounce from team to team like Leaf did, if playing at al. I can only hope, however, that this teaches other players the dangers of playing the media and/or hiring Drew Rosenhaus. Sorry for the extremely long post.
