The 49ers have gottened fairly lucky in training camp with injuries. Not so on Tuesday. Late in the morning practice two players were carted off - linebackers Parys Haralson and David Dixon. The fear is Haralson tore the plantar fascia in his foot and could possibly be lost for the season. The 49ers fifth-round choice this year was being counted on to provide crucial backup at outside linebacker and play special teams.[/b]

LB Parys Haralson sustained a left foot strain during the morning practice. Results of an MRI examination were inconclusive, and coach Mike Nolan said he would not have an idea how much practice time the rookie will miss because of the injury.
The strain is at the bottom of Haralson's foot. Nolan said the injury is nowhere near as serious as the season-ending plantar fascia tears that TE Eric Johnson and CB Mike Rumph sustained last year. When asked if Haralson's injury was a tear or partial tear, Nolan said, "It's a strain."
Haralson, a fifth-round draft pick from Tennessee, is listed behind starter Brandon Moore on the 49ers' depth chart.[/b]

Parylson is supposedly gonna be really good as a project, so I hope he's able ot hit the field again soon. Glad to hear it wasn't nearly as severe as first reported.
