Both are really nice facilities-- Bucs have better features in some areas and Owings Mills dose in others from what I have read. The Bucs facility is brand new and likely has the better technology with the media equipment compared to now and when Owing Mills was built- the players all have plasmas and handhelds that can access wirelessly the media control rooms features to study tape etc. Not to mention the media room itself has every feature and gadget available. It cost the same as the Ravens facility. The one thing Owens Mills has is more space-- 200K SQ FT vs 150K -- Owen Mills should be it's own damn town. For the Bucs though from One small office building and three trailers that was old One Buc this is quite the upgrade. When you think about it-- your coach working out of a trailer is pretty damn embarassing. Should have really happened long ago-- the community coughed up our Tax revenue spending of 15 mil back in 97 for the training facility. But the Glazers dragged azz for a while and then when they finally got around to actually purchasing the land which plenty was available in unicoporated North Tampa- for five years the city comission turned down their facility plans calling each parcel they tried to purchase sensitive lands-- Finallly the Glazers said FU-- bought the mall across the street from the stadiumand used half of it for parking revenue and the other half for the new facility. At 25 a pop for parking on any event they should make that up in no time nopt to mention they had 15 mil collecting interest for 9 years. They likely didn't pay a dime. But at least now our players have something real to train and prepare in.

Correctyion on my earlier post-- the Glazers have reported they will not use the original commmunity investment tax- they have not ever used the 15 mil and it sits it escrow and the community can do with it as they wish. They want to keep the new facility a private venue and will finance it by selling it's naming rights to the highest bidder as many other NFL owners have done.

Likely more plausible is they dont want the Tampa Sports Auth to have any say in it-- and from what those elected baffoons have done lately with all their corruption that has come out-- i dont blame them.

On a side note---Wonder if the Glazers will charge us to see our boys in preseason-- they haven't yet and thats with forking out millions to move camp to Disney the last 4 years now-- even more they made sure fan parking was free at Disney as well as admission to the Wide World of Sports Complex.
