Former No. 1 pick Harrington agrees to Falcons deal
ESPN.com news services
The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with free agent quarterback Joey Harrington on a two-year contract, ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting.
Financial terms of the deal were not available.
Harrington will replace Matt Schaub as Michael Vick's backup in Atlanta. Schaub signed a six-year, $48 million deal with the Houston Texans last month.
Last season, Harrington played in 11 games for the Miami Dolphins. He passed for 2,236 yards along with 12 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
Before joining Miami, Harrington played four seasons with Detroit. The former University of Oregon standout was the third overall pick of the Lions in the 2002 NFL draft.

A league source tells us that the contract that Joey Harrington has agreed to with the Falcons is worth $6 million over two years.
The total value is close, if not identical, to the package received last week by David Carr in Carolina.
Harrington has not yet signed the deal. We're told that he is flying to Atlanta for the commencement of a Tuesday minicamp, and that he'll sign the deal when he arrives. [/b]
wonder how many bad starts Vick will have to make before all the Schaub supports hob on the Harrington bandwagon?

thats just weird for me to imagine. it's looking like he and carr got the same ****ing contract, something like a week apart from each other? the first and third picks in the 2002 draft, the first QBs taken?
the connection is a bit eerie to me for some reason.
