Enter the Eagles, who are one of 13 teams around the league with more than $10 million in salary-cap space.
Some Eagles fans might counter that Philadelphia already has running back Brian Westbrook. Westbrook is nice, but he's no Johnson, who is a premier power back. Furthermore, the Eagles have positioned themselves to win now with quarterback Donovan McNabb and have the money to get a top player like Johnson.[/b]

Doesn't make much sense to me. I know that there isn't much write about right now but...
Westbrook may not be your typical power back but he's emerged as a star and he fits our system. Very doubtful Westbrook plays second fiddle to Johnson.
I wouldn't be shocked by that. For some reason I've always had the impression that Reid wanted a bigger back to be the guy regardless of what Westbrook did to prove he deserved the ball. I alwys had the impression that Reid wanted Westbrrok as a 3rd down/playmaker type guy and not his workhorse.
I think Reid would love to had Westbrook in more of a Reggie Bush role with Johnson playing Deuce on first and second down.
johnson is making **** for being one of the top backs in the league. he is looking to get paid. with so many threats for holdouts nowdays KC might as well get something for him is they can't afford him.
What do the Eagles have that they could get rid of besides McNabb himself? Plus, it's going to cost at least 2 1st rounders and Reid will never part with them. Eagles are one of the few teams that actually value the draft.

exactly....
Don't worry the Eagles will get Johnson and Reid would probably throw 65% of the time again
I dont see it happening. Personally, i just dont value a RB, even as good as LJ, that highly, he's not, IMO, worth a single 1st round pick, much less two.........especially not when we have Westy.
