Meanwhile, defensive end Chris Clemons and the Raiders had some late correspondence before the free agent deadline but could not reach a deal. Clemons will visit the Philadelphia Eagles today, where his pass-rushing skills could be a nice addition to Philadelphia’s zone blitzing defense under Jim Johnson.

The Eagles are also close to signing defensive end Chris Clemons. A league source close to the situation has told Comcast SportsNet that Clemons expected to sign with the Eagles on Saturday morning.

Clemons, 26, had eight sacks last season for the Raiders after spending his first two NFL seasons with the Redskins. He joined Washington in 2004 as an undrafted rookie.
