Agreed, nicely put.

there's a chance a few pretty good guys could fall to them in the 2nd round. the two guys i like are both from the big ten. thomas and hardy. personally i want thomas because he's faster and is an excellent return man as well. they may have to trade up to get him in the 2nd though.

I also think Juqua Thomas applied great pressure from the end, & Bunkley and Patterson were getting better and better all season long.
no doubt that keeping lito would makes us stronger but if we could get a guy like gholston our dl would be one of the best if not the best in the nfl and we all know how a great pass rush helps the defensive backfield.

btw - juqua thomas is now juqua parker.

i saw that parker thing, wierd. Thomas has been flying up boards and I think won't make it out of the first. Hardy or Nelson can be had in the second and I wouldn't mind either really

yeah i've noticed thomas is moving up in the mock drafts. i wouldn't be upset to get hardy. don't know too much about nelson.

Default New Info, Jags Interested In Sheppard

There's still a good possibility that Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard will be traded before this weekend, when the Eagles will hold their postdraft minicamp. According to league sources, Sheppard's agent, Lamont Smith, has had extensive conversations with the Jacksonville Jaguars about a possible offer for his client according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

The Jags, who are trying to make their defense as Peyton Manning-proof as possible, were interested in Sheppard before the draft. But their first-round trade-up with Baltimore to get defensive end Derrick Harvey cost them two third-round picks and a fourth-round selection, leaving them with just two picks in the first four rounds. Because of that, they weren't willing to part with their second-round pick, which they spent on another defensive end, Auburn's Quentin Groves, in a deal for Sheppard.

But Smith is trying to broker a deal in which the Jags would give the Eagles a package of 2009 draft picks for Sheppard.
