The Steelers appear set at quarterback with Ben Roethlisberger and Charlie Batch, but that didn't stop them from meeting with free agent Aaron Brooks last week. Steelers director of football operations Kevin Colbert called the get-together "exploratory" for both sides. Brooks played for the Oakland last year but struggled - the Raiders didn't win any of the eight games he started -- and the team didn't pick up the option they had on the veteran's contract. Brooks, 31, had started five seasons for the Saints before falling out of favor in New Orleans. In eight games for the Raiders in 2006, he had just three touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also was sacked 26 times. Pittsburgh appears to be an unlikely destination for Brooks, especially since Batch has proven to be such a reliable backup to Roethlisberger.
