Starks takes a turn at tackle
Steeler Notebook: Starks takes a turn at tackle
Quote:
Another day, another change in the Steelers' offensive line.
Max Starks was back with the first team yesterday at right tackle. It's a position where he started the past two seasons but was supplanted the past two games by Willie Colon.
Colon also practiced with the first team Monday through Wednesday this week but was bumped to the second team yesterday.
Coach Mike Tomlin was not available for comment after practice but did tell a few reporters at lunch time, "Wait until you see what I do with the offensive line today!"
Colon said he was told merely that Starks would be running with the "ones." And Starks was not quite sure what to make of it.
"Yesterday was Willie's day, today is my day. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, so just take it day by day.
"It is what it is. They're going to make their decision, and whatever capacity I'm supposed to be in, I will be there at all times, ready to go to do what they want me to do."
