http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13691670/

excerpt:

The Steelers quarterback is expected to start throwing light passes to see how far along he is, the newspaper reported. Roethlisberger is expected to be ready for the start of training camp July 28 and might play by the second or third preseason game, the newspaper reported.

Roethlisberger, 24, wrecked his bike and cracked his head on a car windshield last month.

I don't know why, but i love that part of the article. I'm sure there was a gentler way to put that. Too funny.

no i dont think you need to change it at all...hes an idiot for riding his bike without a helmet on...hes really lucky...he could have been killed..you would think he would learn from other professional athletes that bikes dont do anything but ruin/ mess up careers...kellen winslow, jason williams for examples

Ron Gant the starting left fielder for the braves back in the early 90's busted his leg in a MC crash, and that was the end of his days in Atlanta. To think you could have been part of all those champioships, but ruined it riding your bike. DUMMY!!!

yeah all those division championships. LOL, I couldn't stand ron gant. He was so overrated. I think it is remarkable that ben has recovered this fast and know from experience that sometimes you learn the hard way the correct way to do things and that is exactly what happened. He had the opportunity to learn his lesson when kellen got hurt, but he had to experience it himself to really learn.

Here is one other point to make about that crash. He was riding a bike tailor made to wear a helmet and look cool. Its weird to see someone ride that bike without a helmet. A rider just looks strange without one on when you are on that bike.

Yeh, but I dont think that Big Ben needs to look cool LOL. He already has enough publicity and popularity.
