Default Duckett a Steeler?

Fanatasy news and note from CBSSportsline.com

Pittsburgh could deal for Duckett

T.J. Duckett, RB ATL
News: According to reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still interested in T.J. Duckett via trade. He would be used as insurance for Duce Staley, who has been prone to injuries in recent seasons.

Analysis: Duckett, who was compared to Jerome Bettis when he came out of Michigan State, would be a nice fit for the Steelers. Rookie Jerious Norwood would move up Atlanta's depth chart if Duckett were dealt.

That's not a bad idea. Duckett is a great 3rd down back, no one (except Davenport ) would make a better replacement for Bettis...

Duckett isn't going to help. We can stop him from keeping the drive alive.

Ducket would be perfect for that Jerome Bettis role, I wouldnt be surprised if he gets 200+ carries if they Steelers trade for him

I believe the Steelers are a different team now with the addition of Holmes it was confirmed in my mind. They reached for this guy for a reason. I think it is a mistake for them to get a Bus clone since I believe they need to get away from the grinding ground game and use the passing game to open up their ground game more (IMO).

I think they took Holmes to replace Randel-El, he really wasnt a reach. I think their interest in Duckett is an indication that they still want to grind IMO

I doubt it will be very long before we know for sure which way they will go regarding Duckett. Pre-season isn't that far away, ...thankfully!

I agree and therein lies the problem. What if they can't play that game anymore? Will Cowher evolve? I see Holmes as a step in that evolution.
