That's why I've always said if the Bears only win 2 games all season and they're against the Pack I'll be happy.

They're definitely a team that is oh so easy to hate. I've hated them as long as I can remember, literally. I don't think I could ever cheer for them, regardless of who they got on their team. I was mad to see AJ Hawk go there. Not often you get a stud whiteboy LB like that in the NFL, and he had to go there of all places. BTW, Urlacher is a stud, one of my fav LBs. At least the South Dakota boy went to the Vikes, so he went to my 2nd fav team. (Chad Greenway, he grew up pretty close to where I did...and they got Ben Leber too, another SD boy...only missing Vinatieri lol)

I am a decent, non-homer Packerbacker, and I'm not a cheesehead. I'm from Idaho, and now I live in Seattle. So if anything I'm a salmon head with some potatoes, lol. I happen to be a Pack fan, but I like the Seahawks as well. Nothing against the Steelers either. If anything, I feel just as sorry for you guys. Most SB winners get to celebrate their victory. You guys have spent the whole offseason defending it. Bad calls are not really fair to anyone.
For the record BU54, I don't hate the Bears either, so don't hate me.. I can't curse the Vikings enough though, I never could.

I've hated the Pack ever since Martin had his towel "hit list" and took that cheap shot on Jim McMahon that helped end his career. But that was long ago and I have softened up some since.

Ah ok. Well, I will agree that it is BS that the Steelers have never gotten the credit they deserve for winning. Winning that many games on the road in the playoffs alone was impressive. I actually was pulling for the Seahawks all year in the NFC cause I knew the Vikes weren't going anywhere and I like Shawn Alexander, but in the SB Stevens was such a baby, and all they did was whine after the SB, so I dislike the Seahawks now too. I used to cheer for them when they'd play some other team, but not anymore.
BU54, what is the story behind the towel hit list or w/e? I don't remember that if I ever knew about it. Here's the Bears' record since I've been watching lol, 2 fluke seasons the rest was barely .500 or a losing record....hard to hate a team like that:
2005: 11-5
2001: 13-3
The rest were 9-7 or worse, and each of those seasons above was preceded by 5-11 seasons lol. (I had a chart pasted in there but it messed up the format so I am just doing this lol)

The guys name was either Randy or Harold Martin The year after the super bowl he slammed Jim McMahon to the ground a good 2-3 seconds after throwing the ball. It wasn't momentum. He was just standing there then grabbed McMahon and threw him to the ground. Putting Jim out for the season. He was immediately ejected from the game and punished by the NFL(don't remember how bad). Anyway he had a towel tucked in his pants with bears players numbers on it Payton being one of them. He also was bragging that was his "hit list". He was planning on taking out the bears players on his "list". The packers soon tradded him to Seattle because they didn't want anymore trouble. Then Seattle cut him not too long after that. This is off the top of my head that's about 40% efficient right now due to lack of sleep.LOL I'd like to look it up sometime just to refresh my memory.

AH ok, so you're talking like 1986 or so? I was watching bits and pieces of the NFL back then, but was just a little kid, so don't remember or for that matter, I doubt I ever knew about any of that. I remember McMahon being a Viking later on lol. That guy sounds like a real jerk to put it mildly.

Jayme I remember the Bears seasons well. 2001 was a real fluke hate to admit it but it was. They won back to back OT games with interception run back on the opposing teams first possession. I think they won 3 OT game ttl that year to put them at 13-3 instead of 10-6. The ball just bounced their way the whole season. Then lost the first playoff game like so many other years. I can't find the scores for that year right now.

Yea he was nick named the punky QB. He wore a headband with the NFL comissioners name on it Roselle. To protest new rules Jim didn't like. But I'll tell you he had an arm and he could read defenses like no other. I remember one game when the bears were losing to the vikes like 20-3 at the half. In the 3rd quarter the first 3 times he touched the ball were TD's. Never saw anything like it. Even by Joe Montana.

LOL, fluke is putting it mildly. I remember that season I kept waiting for the Bears' highlights, and most of the time they were on there with some lucky play or a bunch of lucky plays. It was ridiculous. Go to that link I included there, it'll show the scores I believe, as well as rosters.
