I am SICK of the nay-sayers re: the Steelers!!
How can a team that went 15-1, 2 yrs ago, and then came back this year to get through the playoffs in the manner they did, AND win the superbowl. Not be considered a great team AND have a real chance to repeat as Superbowl champs again this year?!? Someone please explain it to me.....and please do not bring up the fact that Randle El and Bettis are gone. The Steelers get slammed every year with a couple of their top players going to other teams in the offseason. Do you think Plaxico Burress was sitting there watching the Steelers holding up the Lombardi trophy thinking "I could have been there,too?"...You bet he was!!!
Why do they still not get the respect they rightfully deserve?!?

Well your'e gonna get nay-sayers. The majority want to see the reigning champ fall.{be it Pittsburgh or whoever** outside of your division rivals I don't see too much Steeler bashing in here. Myself, I got respect for the Steelers.

Well there's a bunch of reasons why the Steelers are seeing more disrespect than past Super Bowl champs. 1. They're not the Patriots. 2. They're not the Patriots. and 3. well, you get the point. Quite frankly, I think they'd rather be the underdog team. Don't worry about it Steeler man and enjoy next season. The Steelers are a great team and they do have a CHANCE to repeat. But the NFL is getting highly competitive, especially in the AFC so they'll have to bring their A+ game this coming season.

the one thing that may have changed last year is that big ben was out for a while and they had a QB by committe going on.If ben plays all 16 maybe they are 13-3. I think people see Kimo, the Bus, and Randel-El as being losses that were not addressed in the off season. I always say to be the man beat the man so they should be considered a playoff fav with a good chance to repeat.

More than being a great team, the Steelers are a great organization. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. With success comes jealousy and contempt. When a team wins the championship, fans (not all of them) of the other 31 teams, root for their demise. Like a previous poster said...it seem like it is your division rivals who are selling your team short. Most hardcore fans respect a team that wins it all. Good luck this season.

they got my respect. they played my Chargers real tough last year and beat us by 1 on a last second field goal. they kept LT and Gates in check too.

I here what all of you are saying and I agree. It's the media and the talk shows that don't seem to mention the Steelers a whole lot. Seems all I hear is....the Dolphins have Culpepper....he's gonna make them a threat to go all the way! The Cowboys have TO...he's gonna make them a threat to go all the way. The Ravens are gonna be tough to beat this year...don't count out the Patriots...If Carson is back this could be the Bengals year and on and on and on!! The only one of these I give any account to is I NEVER count out the Patriots, they, like the Steelers, are well coached, and no matter who they seem to lose year in and year out, someone always steps up and plays well, thus they are always in the thick of things at the end, and I expect the same this year. I'm just not hearing much talk about the Steelers having a great chance to repeat....I think they do! I do agree with the one person that the STeelers would have won their division if Ben would not have went down last year!! No question about it!! Anyway....can't wait for the season to start..GO STEELERS!!
