Default Steelers WRs

Nate Washington was an unknown WR last year, he caught one third down pass against denver and batted down an interception in the SB, now in camp hes making amazing catches and running crisp routes while beating the opposing CBs, coaches are impressed and hes expected to challeng Cedric Wilson for the #2 spot. Its funny hes making a name for himself after being active for only 2 games, hes very strong and is the ideal size at 6-1 190.

I think our WR situation is pretty stacked right now. Got Ward, the old vet at #1, also have Nate who has been making plays, Wilson who made plays in the playoffs, as well as the 2 rookies. Nate won the 40s heat against the speedsters like Holmes, Fast Willie, etc, so he has some pretty good speed and/or stamina.

It'll be interesting to see who ends up at #2, I see 3 guys in the running for it...if not now, by mid season anyway. Reid could see playing time as well, but most likely he'll be mainly a return-man.

Yea regardless who is number 2 this year they will all catch some passes, just like quincy morgan did last year (who is fantastic at KR). A big year for the passing game means a big year for the run game.

Quincy didn't do much last year aside from KR. He was the #3 or 4 WR, not sure which anymore, it changed due to injuries. I don't look to see Quincy do much this year, if he's even on the roster. His KR replacement is there in Reid, and Quincy drops too many passes.

Yeah i know, but he made some plays last year and had an amazing kick return to the 25 agaisnt jacksonville in OT, a field goal shouldve been kicked on first down, but it turns out that Tommy wanted to be JAX MVP.

My point is we have alot of capable WR this year and i se big things

Ah, they shouldn't have kicked a FG on 1st down. It would've been like a 43 yarder, and Reed's long of the year is only 44 yards. He's also only 24/29 field goals on the year, with 3 of those misses being 40-49, and 2 being 50+. It's hardly a gimme that he'd make it. But in the end, with Tommy Gun there, it wouldnt' have made any difference if he missed anyway lol.

Well, I don't trust Tommy Maddox, but I don't have a lot of faith in Reed at 43 yards either.

I dont know why you hate reed so much hes always been reliable.

1 notable miss that i blame john madden for in indianapois and i quote madden said

"jeff reid must feel hes in heaven going from kicking at heinz field to the controlled enviroment of the RCA dome"

what a jack***

But the steelers didnt need to kick much last year because ben would just throw perfect passes to ward and miller in the endzone.......perfect.

He had a hell of a season 2 years ago, i think he'll be ok, besides he doesnt choke on game winners
