Willie Colon must be doing something right
Willie Colon was drafted as a guard, and now is seeing action at both T positions. I've heard good things from the coaches about him having a nasty streak, and now this:
"One sign that a young player is doing some things well in camp is when the coaches start teaching him additional positions. Willie Colon, who opened camp at right tackle, started taking repetitions at left tackle on Monday."
He must be doing something right if he's able to play both tackle positions at only 6'3"..most are 6'6" or so in the NFL.

Of course that could have something to do with backup Trai Essex pulling a groin, in which he'll miss the next game, and possibly be out 7-10 days. But if Colon was already at RT before his injury maybe it's unrelated, idk.
(Anyone notice the # of Willie's on this team? Reid, Parker, Colon, used to have Willie Williams as well lol)

It wasn't 47 times, another Steeler holds the record for that, at 44 or 45. (Mike Kudla) Regardless though, I think the guy is just a bull and probably is really strong. I wonder if he'll actually start soon. Our line is actually fairly young (by OL standards, they play till mid 30s at a high lvl) except for Hartings, and haven't heard anything about him playing center.

Hartings is one of the best centers to play football, i dont care how old he is, he is still one of the best and he produces and make the probowl every year, and Chukky Okobi is a hell of a backup.

I don't care for Okobi, so I see us in need of getting a good center. You'll notice that the Steelers have always had a stud at C. First it was Webster, then Dawson, then Hartings. Hartings is 35 already I think, he won't last much longer...another 2 years max most likely. I agree that Hartings is a stud though, but that doesn't stop him from aging.

Yeah, I was kinda wanting him too, but no such luck there, plus we needed Santonio worse (if he works out as the stud they think he might be...Marvin Harrison-like)
