Default Preseason game against Cards review

My observations from the game (missed part of the 4th quarter due to power outages and the storm's wind messing up the Direct TV signal):

Boyd has a rocket for an arm, and can make the throws requiring a missile pretty good, but has NO touch whatsoever. He threw a 90 mph ball to Holmes on a 5 yard crossing route, and it was high...Holmes made a good effort in touching it, but all he managed to do was tip it and it was INT'd.

Jacobs looked worse yet. He has absolutely no velocity, but he did have a nice finesse pass to a TE in the corner of the end zone.

Batch looked good, and so did Big Ben, the other 2 looked horrible.

#88 the rookie TE missed a pass badly. Washington dropped an easy one too.

Orien Harris had a really nice move while playing NT where he just grabbed the O lineman and pulled him aside and went after the QB...almost got there in time.

Anthony Smith had 2 INTs, but it was against the QB who was in essence the #3 QB for Arizona. They were nice plays, but fairly easy to make and badly thrown floaters that shouldn't have been thrown. He still showed the ability to make the INT and be in the right place though just to get there.

Willie didn't get much playing time but did break a tackle in the backfield and turn it into a 5 yard gain on one play.

Holmes and Reid both looked good. They caught most everything thrown there way (everything that was catchable anyway) and Reid especially caught a nice pass he had to go up for and he got drilled after he caught it.

Our starters were in there much less than the Cards' were, so that's part of the reason we lost. Our first string D (without Porter) looked pretty bad on ARI's first possession though.

Duce had a nice play where he avoided being tackled for a loss, BUT in the end overall he looked rather slow and unimpressive. Humes looked decent but nothing special either. John Kuhn or something, the rookie fullback, looked pretty good. Had a nice 10 yard run.

Overall, the only player that REALLY impressed was Anthony Smith.
