They said it was minor surgery compared to what it wouldve been if it had bursted. Like a 1 inch incision, so he should be good to go in a week or 2. It had nothing to do with the accident, it could happen to anyone.
AAAAARRRRGGGG!!!! I just read that rumors suggest that Tommy Maddox might be brought in temporarily, hes a bum and i hate him, i hope they dont bring him back, i would take Jeff George over Maddox.

Batch might work against the Miami defense. But not against the earth moving, mammoth, quarterback eaters John Henderson and Marcus Stroud. You better hope Ben is going to be back for week 2 or it's going to be a long night for Pittsburgh down in Jacksonville.

LMAO, cant argue with a statement like that, but seriously its true, the jags might get lucky twice in a row. Oh well, we'll see what happens, but there really is no better way to decribe those 2 guys.
Keep in mind that Joey Harrington picked your first team apart a few weeks ago. And the steelers dont have any average Oline.

Very true. But if they replayed that game again do you really think that would keep happening? That was just a slow start by the Jacksonville defense. Plus it was preseason. You have to wonder if full effort was really given. You know? But as for that game it should be a great one. I'll be at Alltel Stadium going crazy for the Jags to pull out the win. Hopefully Ben plays though. I don't want any excuses this time if we win. Also beating the Steelers again would maybe get us some damn respect.

Im just sayin, tommy maddox is way worse than batch, Maddox threw 5 picks (five) and almost still won...By no means am i taking anything away from Jacksonville it was a hard fought victory and good for them, but i would have to assume the game wouldve been a little different.
My point is ben better get back because Batch is a capable backup...but for how long?

The appendix is a vestigal organ. It once served a purpose in Humans (believed to be a secondary stomach, of sorts), but now does nothing. It can become inflammed and infected (appendicitis) and if untreated, can rupture, leading to massive infection (septicemia) which can be potentially fatal. Appendicitis is the most common form of abdominal surgery in the United States.
Now that my anatomy lesson is over, let me say that I drafted Big Ben last night in a fantasy draft. While I wasn't aware of this information when I drafted him, I believe this might prove positive if he returns after only a couple of missed games. We'll see. I still have C-Pep as my backup QB. He'll do nicely.

K Train I know you've been waiting to hear from me. The appendix can be very serious and kill you. I'm glad Ben is alright.
Look on the bright side Ben isn't all that good. Maybe they will be better without him.

Big Ben Out!
Its a tradgedy and I dont like seeing someone miss a game due to a freak thing, but I heard Big Ben has to have emergency surgery and will miss the opener. That being said I dont see them pulling out a win with what they have behind center. Batch is good but if the game is close he will not make the decisions Ben will and they will lose. Hope he gets better this is a bad way to kick off the season. I am curious if this injury is a result of his accident?
