I would LOVE to get White but I wouldn't trade up to get him. We have too many needs.
As far as the draft I think we need to take BPA outside of quarterback to be honest. If its an OL, DL, LB, RB, WR ... who cares. Just get the best guy on the board.
if the Duckett deal is available for a 4th i'd definitely pull the trigger on it. I like Maurice Morris in FA too. 1, C/OG or WR 2, WR or C/OG 3, FS 3, ILB
then spend day two looking for 3-4 dlinemen and a back up TE.
Next year we get a pass catching FB to go with our offense. Brian Leonard.

TJ Duckett????
Dude Duckett can't even wrestle the job away from wee Warrick Davis, I mean Dunn.
And you call me crazy? LenDale is going to be a bona fide stud in this league. You probably went ape**** when they traded up to get Polamalu as well. If they have to give up say a 3rd rounder to move up 5-10 spots to get him whats the big ****in' deal? Its not as if they have done well in that round lately.
And I did complain that we gave up too much to trade up but I still felt it was the right player. i just don't think White is going to be as good as advertised. i don't see the quick shiftiness that made Bettis relatively successful. He looks great splitting carries on the USC offense but it'll be a whole different game when he hits the NFL. He might become a big player down the line but unless he lands in the perfect situation I don't think he'll be the impact player you claim he'll be right off the bat.
And trading up to get him just means you're going to be paying him that much more. This offense is shifting to a pass to set the run up offense. Ben's the guy. We get ben his help on O line and a big target at WR then we'll be running the ball well with pretty much any RB you can plug in there. To go out and invest that much money in a first round RB is ludicrous.
Know where your bread is buttered and stop clinging to the outdated perceptions of what "Steeler Football* should be.

**** that I want to get back to the 3 yards and a cloud of dust type offense.
No you make good points, but the WR situation is shaky especially if they lose El. They need to either draft a WR high or hit FA. Am I crazy in thinking Jurevicious might be a good fit? Probably, but I always wanted them to draft him since hes a Penn State boy.
Jurevicious would be a #4 for us. He'd fit in as a sub for Hines but wouldn't work well opposite him. Not really a slot guy. It's all about Martin Nance baby.
Chances are he'll get a decent enough contract to fit in as a #2 someplace.

A pass catching FB? Why? They barely pass to the RB or TE and you want them to waste a pick on a FB? Yeesh.

That's not as crazy as you think since the Steeler's will have a few compensatory picks to bargain with. They should, at least, get a third for Burress.
