I'm fully taking the comp picks into account and I still don't think trading up for White is the right move. We have a lot of little nagging positions that need filled. OG/C, WR, FS, OLB, ILB, CB, DE with the cluster of players grading out mid-late day 1 we should try to maximize the number of picks we have in that area and try to plug as many of those as possible. YOU DON'T NEED A FIRST ROUND RB TO WIN IN THIS LEAGUE.

You're right, but RB will need to be addressed. Haynes is more than likely gone. If Staley refuses a paycut he will be cut and his little gentleman's club night outing probably won't sit well with the Rooneys anyway. Its quite possible that heading into the draft the Steelers have 1 RB on the roster.

Falcons | May try to trade Duckett

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports there was talk in the press box of this weekend's playoff games that the Atlanta Falcons may try to trade RB T.J. Duckett.
Something to keep an eye out for is a possible trade opportunity that could involve running back T.J. Duckett. He faded down the stretch, but he’s young, strong and could prove attractive to the many teams that are in need of a running back. If the Falcons go that route, they might bring in a free agent and draft a running back in the mid-round.
One rumor that was making the rounds at the Pro Bowl is that Atlanta will try to trade T.J. Duckett. Duckett's career hasn't progressed and Warrick Dunn is the Falcons' starter. But Duckett has good size and is the kind of power runner that could fit Carolina's offense. Another rumor: The Panthers will make a play for Baltimore free agent running back Chester Taylor if DeShaun Foster signs elsewhere.

then spend day two looking for 3-4 dlinemen and a back up TE.*
Next year we get a pass catching FB to go with our offense.* Brian Leonard.*
I like Morris too, and Duckett for a 4th round pick? Uhm, I'll take that and run.
Duckett, Morris, Taylor, or yes, even Foster would be a nice add. I know Foster is kind of an injury concern like Duce though. Just always loved that talent.
This incident with Duce at the strip club in South Carolina where he apparently lied about his jewelry being stolen puts him in a poor light.
What kind of jagoff would wear 100K worth of jewels to a strip club anyway?
If Duckett can be had for a 4th I'd be all for that. Hell we've got an extra 3rd/4th pick coming from the compensation picks. Plus at least Duckett can stay healthy unlike Duce. Willie, Duckett, Haynes wouldn't be a whole lot different than what we jsut won the SB with.
As for him "not beating out Dunn" are you kidding me??? Dunn is very, very good. ME thinks your underestimating him Drake.

Lied??? I say we ask Tommy Maddox's wife. She'll set the record straight.
BTW, the article said non one was injured during the robbery. Now that right there shows Duce couldn't have been involved.
Originally posted by Master Blaster@Feb 15th '06 @ 3:09 pm A pass catching FB? Why? They barely pass to the RB or TE and you want them to waste a pick on a FB? Yeesh.
We took Miller last year how did that pan out?
Just like those that said Miller was a wasted pick last year because "we don't throw to the TE" if we actually had a FB that could catch the ball and do something with it (No offense to Kreider he's a great blocker) we would implement it into your O.
