it's possible, not likely. He doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of experience really. He mostly rode on the coat tails of the rest of that Bucs D staff. Tomlin is one of those guys who's name sprung up late in the game because there just weren't that many good coordinators looking to make the leap this offseason and a lot of HC seats available.

Tomlin was also under Monte Kiffin during those years, and had some pretty good talent to work with.

Very true but it has been that way for many years no matter what defensive coordinator the Vikings hire

Looks more and more like it's Tomlin's job to lose now, honestly. ****ing Grimm, I watched his last interview with the press (from Monday night I think) just a bit ago, he pretty much looked like a man defeated.

I have a feeling once the Bears lose this weekend Rivera is going to be heavy in the mix.

As much as I'd like to think that, and as I see Rivera as a better HC candidate than Tomlin, I really believe the Rooney's aren't going to wait for him. I'm hearing all over how magnetic a personality Tomlin is, and how he's winning everybody over and blah, blah, blah.

Arrogance and experience are two different things. Sorry Tomlin lovers, he has NOTHING to boast, other than a Tampa defense coordinated by Monte Kiffin (instilled by Dungy and mostly Bud Carson from the Steelers in the first place) and a bunch of great players at that time. Why didn't that translate into success for guys like Smoot, Sharper & Winfield is my question?
