OK, so now we have Smith, Faneca, Mahan, Simmons, Colon.
If is that hard to transition from Guard to Tackle? Why can't some of our big slow mounds
(Starks/Essex), be considered a possible RG? I assume the argument against LG is that we pull it.
[/b]
Simmons pulls a good bit too. Actually that's when he's at his best. If Faneca leaves they could move him to LG and Kemo to RG.
Essex has been playing G. He just needs to drop a few pounds and get in shape. Of course, if he did that he'd be playing LT.
As for Starks, he did play G at Florida but the Steelers prefer Gs who have mobility. At least at this point. Obviosuly, it's tough to see that from Max. However, if Colon doens't pan out at RT I could see him moving to G. He's got a Gs build.
So... when is Mike Vick and his boys going to grill up some dog burgers or dog steak since Hunting and dog fighting are the same?
The defense of Vick in this thread is pretty hysterical.
Hunting = Legal
Dig Fighting = Illegal
There's nothing else to say. If you think hunting should be illegal, then go talk to the local politicians until then Vick participated in an illegal activity that he fully knew before hand was illegal.[/b]
I dont believe dog fighting is any worse. I never brught up their respective legalities. Leaving out the things he did after the fights, to say Vick is a piece of trash or whatever, solely, because he fought his dogs is hypocritical if you are a hunter IMO.[/b][/quote]

It seemed as if he was driving not to crash and relying on his tires to pound their way down the asphalt about 3 yards at a time.

The Steelers' offensive line was juggled again Thursday. After a couple of poor practices, Willie Colon was removed in favor of Max Starks at right tackle.
PITTSBURGH -- Mike Tomlin walked past a couple of reporters in the cafeteria and kidded them.
"Wait till you guys see the offensive line today," Tomlin said.
Tomlin appears to be enjoying the media's bewilderment over the way he's putting together his offensive line. After three days of continuity, Tomlin on Thursday inserted Max Starks at right tackle with the first team in place of Willie Colon.
Colon was part of what a team source said would be the opening-day first team this week, but a couple of poor practices brought about some dissatisfaction from Tomlin. So Starks was inserted into the lineup Thursday in an attempt to motivate Colon.
"Willie has a tendency to tail off when things go well," said the source. "He's got to learn to practice as hard as he plays."
“This is a competition,” Starks said. “We don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, so we just take it day by day.”
How badly would Starks feel if he doesn't start opening day?
“I’ve gotten over that,” he said. “I thought of it early – oh, man, I’d be disappointed -- but you know what? Now it’s one of the things I just want to help my team be successful.”

This is getting irritating. If Colon isn't giving 100% in practice just get in his ****ing face and let him know, none of this shifting around again because he "has a tendency to tail off when things go well".
Just keep Marvel, Faneca, Mahan, Simmons & Colon together as much as possible and let these guys develop some rapport together already. Ben's gonna get killed with all this bull**** shifting around.
since FANS will be no more come next Wednesday move on over to http://www.***************** a lot of us have moved over and they have a board structure/atmosphere similar to fans. Loose moderation, no filters, AFC discussion, NFL discussion, smack talk and plenty of off topic stuff.
